“FINDING REST FOR YOUR SOUL”

ANCHOR TEXT: Matthew 11:29
_Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls._

In the text Jesus shows us a way to attain rest for  our souls. And he pinpoints on these things below;
1. Taking my yoke upon you
To find rest for our souls, we must accept his standard or his culture of modesty or simplicity. Though was rich and owns everything yet simplicity is his watchword.

2. Learning of him
We must continue to learn of him in all circumstances. We are human and mistakes are bound to happen yet following Christ’s teachings straightens our path. His word is lamp unto my feet and light unto my path. To be like him our learning should be of him solely but not of this world.

3. Lowly & meek
True humility always end up in glory. Pride goes before falling but meekness precedes promotion. Promotion comes from God and God always humble the proud and gives grace to the humble.

These facts will save you from pride, prodigalities, wastages and wrong decisions which ruin destinies.
I pray that you will make Jesus Christ your ultimate role model in this life.

I love you but Jesus loves you best. Good morning.

WHERE ARE YOU?

And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where are you?(Gen. 3:9)

God called Adam at the time he and his wife disobeyed Him in the beautiful garden He planted for them. God knew they have sinned against Him yet He walked in to check up on them.

“Where are you” connotes God’s love and care for His creatures. He was enquiring of their state of life in the garden but the unfortunate thing had happened. They heard His voice of calling but they did not reply because of what they have done.

You might have been rebellion to your Creator in many ways, and that you feel you can’t be accepted by Him. He still loves you just as you are. He is calling you brother, He is calling you sister. Just come to Him and He will save you today.
He knows that all is not well but He has solution to your plight that is why He says where are you.
As has just been said: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion.”(Hebrews 3:15)

As He is calling, He also makes a provision of His sacrificial lamb, Jesus Christ the Son of the Living God to take away all your sins.
The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!(John 1:29)

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.(John 3:16)
Irrespective of what you have done, God is still calling you to come to Him. There is room at the cross for you, though millions have come but there is still room for one. Come running and Jesus Christ will save you. Amen!

If you want God to save you, just say this after me;
PRAYER
Thank you God for searching for me. I’m sorry of all my sins. Forgive me today. I open my heart to receive you Jesus by faith in your word. I believe with all my heart that Jesus is the saviour of the world and l confess Him as my Lord and Personal Saviour. Amen

“The Master’s Will” (Go Ye)

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations , baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:(Matt. 28:19)

When Jesus had gathered his disciples before his ascension, he gave them his last command. That is his clear testament and heartfelt Will to all his disciples.

Bishop Dag Heward-Mills once said, “a man’s last words before he dies are very important”(paraphrased quote).
Jesus’ last word was go ye. It is also a Will made to the church to operate within.

What’s a Will?
A legal declaration of a person’s wishes regarding the disposal of his or her property or estate after death
especially : a written instrument legally executed by which a person makes disposition of his or her estate to take effect after death
(Source:Merriam-Webster dictionary, Since 1828)

Spiritually or legally, Christians are sole custodians of this will, and also we are made the agents to enforce the effect of the testament, will, command and legal declaration of Jesus Christ’s wishes. This testament or will took effect right after the departure of our master Jesus Christ. In the will he express to us the need of going all out to our Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and uttermost part of the earth with the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. To teach, baptise and make disciples of all nations.

Brethren in the Lord, we must consider this seriously and enforce it, otherwise Satan will send his disciples of destructions to deceive, plunder and mislead nations or men into hell and eternal destruction.

What the Master’s Will is.
The Master’s Will pinpoints the following;
1. It is a global legal mandate to believers.
“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”Acts 1:8 (KJV)

2. It is the believers task(the great commission).
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:(Matt. 28:19)

3. It’s the gathering of souls and bearing fruits unto Jesus Christ through evangelism mandate.
“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.” (John 15:16, King James Bible)

4. It’s disciple making and teachers’ training mandate.
“You have been believers so long now that you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things about God’s word. You are like babies who need milk and cannot eat solid food.” (Heb.5:12,New Living Translation)

5. It’s a Missionary work and indeed it is our missionary mandate.
13 “for Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” 14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?”(Romans 10:13-14)

6. It is the Salvation of the world mandate.
“Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other. By myself I have sworn; from my mouth has gone out in righteousness a word that shall not return: ‘To me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear allegiance’” (vv. 22–23). – Isaiah 45:14–25

“For this is the commandment that the Lord has given us: I have made you a light for the Gentiles, so that all the world may be saved.’(Acts 13:47)

“Salvation is to be found through him alone; in all the world there is no one else whom God has given who can save us.” (Acts 4:12)

Go ye is the Master’s Will left to us. Indeed it is explicitly clear in the bible that we are all obliged to undertake this worthy duty.

May I admonish you to be serious with this will and assume your role faithfully. God bless you.

“GO YE”

THE GREAT COMMISSION BUT NOT THE GREAT SUGGESTION

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:(Matt. 28:19)

It has been the heartbeat of God since time immemorial in human history. When man fell it became urgent for God to reinstate man in his glorious state. The human virtues depleted and man went astray far from his maker so much so that God himself had to intervene timely through His Son Jesus Christ.

As part of God’s intervention, the “Go ye” concept was introduced to reconcile the creature to his creator. In the bible we see many attempts of God to reach out to mankind through men; in the bible God sent men like Noah, Moses, Jeremiah, Isaiah, as well as many others who faithfully went on errands of Go ye.
During the induction of prophet Isaiah’s ministry, God said, “whom shall I send”
“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.”(Isa 6:8)
I pray that you will also give God a positive answer when He calls you.

John tells us that God loved us so much that He sent His only Son that whoever believes in him should not perish(John 3:16).
Jesus gladly embraced the Go ye concept to save and restore us back to God. In the same manner Jesus Christ has also commissioned us to Go Ye and preach to every creature.

What’s Go Ye?
Beloved in the Lord, the Go ye is heavenly concept and divine mandate to all Christians, it’s a command, mission, ministry of reconciliation to all, by all, with all and for all to go all out for lost souls in the world. As many as willing God sends to save generations, race, nation and people of all class.
“It has always been Go ye mandate but not come ye orientation

“Go ye is the great commission, vision, mission, all believers’ mandate, call to all, responsibility to discharge, the work of an evangelist, urgency of the hour we find ourselves and ambassadoral office of all saints.
“Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.”(2Co 5:20)

I pray that all of will be obedient to the voice of God to reach out to souls with the pure gospel.

Remember it is Go ye but not come ye. God bless you richly.
